Who is Jesus?
There might not be a more important question for any human being to answer
Even Jesus himself thought it was an important question. In Matthew 16:3 he asked his followers: “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
In Jesus’ day, there were many different answers offered to that question. Today, it is the same: some say he was a great religious leader; some say he was a great teacher; some say he didn’t even exist.
We say Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became man and continues to be God and man in two distinct natures and one person forever. He was born into this world and lived as a man on this earth 2,000 years ago in perfect obedience to God the Father; died on a Cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of his people; was risen from the dead in a glorious bodily resurrection, ascended to the Father and will return again one day to judge the world.
