Reformed Youth Ministry

Reformed Youth Ministry is a collaborative ministry between New Life Presbyterian Church in Yorktown and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Muncie.

Both of our churches are in the same county (Delaware), belong to the same denomination (PCA), and are in the same presbytery (Central Indiana Presbytery). In the past we were two separate youth ministries, but now we have reformed into one group.

We chose the name Reformed Youth Ministry, not just because we re-formed into one group but because both our churches hold to historic reformed theology as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Our vision is to see ordinary teens empowered by the Gospel for extraordinary living. Let me tell you a story about what this vision can look like in real life.

I (Andrew) became a Christian shortly after graduating high school. My conversion was a big surprise to everyone who knew me. I was a rebellious kid with very little interest in God or religion.

But then I met Casey. Casey was just an ordinary kid like me. We both liked the same music, movies, and sports. But there was also something extraordinary about Casey. His life was different than mine. He was filled with love, joy, and purpose. Casey told me that he was a Christian and showed me that life was meant to be lived for Jesus. Casey was empowered by the Gospel and the Lord used his extraordinary life to help lead me to Christ.

This is the vision we have for the students in our ministry. We want them to have the same kind of impact on those around them that Casey had on me. But this kind of extraordinary life can’t happen apart from the grace of God given in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
