Rev. Bob O’Bannon

Pastor Bob has been serving as senior pastor of New Life since 2004. He is a graduate of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, where he received his master of divinity degree in May 2002. Before coming to New Life, Bob served as part-time pastor of an EPC congregation in Alton, IL, and taught Bible classes at a Christian school, also located Alton.

Before seminary, Bob worked for 10 years as director of public affairs for the Indiana Manufacturers Association in downtown Indianapolis in the ‘90s, and also worked as a newspaper reporter for the Muncie Evening Press newspaper in the late ‘80s. He is a 1986 graduate of Ball State University (journalism), and a 1982 graduate of Carmel High School.

Bob has been married to his lovely wife Mary since 1994. The two live on the west side of Muncie with their two border collies. In his spare time, Bob is frequently on the hunt for vinyl records, and loves to read, drink coffee, and mountain bike.
